How to remove coil on plugs on v6 Ford?

I need to replace two of the 6 cop's coil on plugs, from a v6 ford galaxy as they are defective. The thing is, on inspection they are tightly fitted, as to be expected, yet there is no visible securing bolts, or screws. How are they secured, and is there a particular way to remove them?

Is there something that I can put something on a doorknob to lock the door from the outside?

I was watching cops and there was something on the outside of the door on the doorknob that locked the door - what was that?

I want to be able to lock my door from the outside, but I can't get a lock to fit the old door (in an old house) and I don't want to put a dead bolt into the woodwork - any suggestions?
It won't fit - it's an old door.
