you dont need a remote with the SLG. the whole point of the remote is for markers with stocks. the SLG has no stock you use the tank as a stock to help aim. with no tank on the marker is will be really awkward to shoot.

Ok so i have a Tippmann 98 custom, a remote line. two tanks (one 9 oz. and one 12 oz.), one 2+1 Pod and tank belt, and a mask (tippmann, cheap). I want to sell it all for about $160, is that a good price?
You have a tippmann. Only someone that doesn't know anything about guns would realistically want that. Ebay has similar packages for $90-110. That brings the value down is that it is a tippmann plus it runs on CO2.
Knee Pads Paintball Is there a problem with my knee?
I play an action sport(paintball) where slide and diving on my knee is very common. I wear knee pads and do stretches before I play every time i go out. My knee never gives me any pains or anything like that and it never pops or cracks, but it has been making a sort of squishy noise when i crouch and get back up, i can make this noise when ever i want. Its kind embarrassing cuz its loud and no one really knows what it is but me. I have a feeling it has something to do with my cartilage. Should i worry about this?
you might have misculus damage that is why it creaks, i have the same problem, go get a MRI to check.

Where can I find a good set of paintball pads?
Where can I find a good set of paintball pads? I'm an experienced player and when I play speedball I want to be able to slide with killing myself. But I also play woodsball and I often find myself lying down or crouching. I am looking for full-arm or elbow to wrist, padded shorts, and knee to ankle pads. I am willing to pay up to around 200 dollars and I'd prefer them to be black or gray or both and made by the same brand. Thanks.

First time buying my own paint-ball gear Thanks chris, so do you think i should just stick with th 11" that the gun has with no upgrades? oh and should i get a red dot scope? if so which one would fit this gun?

For new the price is just about right but used that set normally only sells for about $200 at the nigh end, but normally sell for about $120 to $150.
Is the equipment good? Yes tippmann is a very good starter or woodsball marker, very durable and reliable. As long as u clean it and lube it once in a while they last forever. The air tank is nice because it is cheaper to fill and your pressure (psi) will be more consistent then a co2 tank. The 20 inch barrel is almost worthless because a barrel that long is actually bad because it put drag on the ball and causes you to use a lil more air per shot and the velocity (fps) drops fast after it leaves the barrel. About the longest barrel you wont on any marker is a 16" barrel but 14" is just about perfect for most game play.
The stock barrel is crap, it is an ok length but it is a real cheap barrel that the first thing you should do is upgrade the barrel to something like a cp 14" with a bore around .685 or something similar like a proto, empire, or any good quality barrel.
A red dot scope or any scope is worthless in paintball because paintball markers are not accurate enough to make them of use and on a scope most are made for your eye to be right up on it to see through it and you can't do that with a mask on. A red dot sight is a lil better but not much help. Most scopes and sights are just for looks because paintball markers are just not accurate enough.
A good upgrade i recommend for all tippmann markers is the TechT zero kick hammer. It will replace the stock hammer and will be a lot lighter, this reduces the kick that tippmann markers tend to have and allow your marker to operate a lil more efficient and cycle faster. The tippmann 98 hammer will work in the alpha because really all the army series markers are just tippmann 98 custom's with a different body. They use the same internals and everything, just about every upgrade for the 98 custom works on the army series markers, only a few like the e-grip and cyclone feed you have to get the ones that are made to fid the body style of the army series markers.
