your best bet will be to buy off the internet at a reputable store like punishers pb, ans gear or action village. they have a very wide selection of stuff and are generally cheaper then buying from a store in person.

Paintballs are 1 of the basic paintball equipment and is easily available in the many different paintball shops. Paintballs are small gelatin balls filled with polyethylene glycol, other water-soluble substances and dye. The stains caused by paintballs can be effortlessly removed from clothes and human skin. Also the mixture used for the paint is completely nontoxic to prevent any harm to players' health in case they are hit in the mouth and accidentally swallow the paint.
Before the paintballs can be purchased at a paintball shop, they go through a sophisticated manufacturing process which is actually very similar to the process of making pharmaceutical pills. At first, the paint is made at a specialty paint plant and then shipped to the encapsulating plant. Here, gelatin capsules are made and then by using special and expensive equipment, they are filled with the paint and appropriately sealed afterwards.
After encapsulation process, the paintballs come out still warm. They are put into a tumbling machine which cools them down, hardens them and help them get uniformly shaped. When the paintballs have cooled down enough, they are put on shelves where they continue to air dry. Before the paintballs can be shipped and sold at a paintball shop they have to be inspected for any imperfections. Once the inspection is over the paintballs are packed and ready to be shipped out.
In general, the better the quality of material used for manufacturing paintballs, the better the quality of the paintballs that are sold at the paintball shop. Since nowadays there are many paintballs manufacturers operating in the paintball business, paintball shops can choose from among them and therefore maintain a high quality of service.
