Paintball players, I was wondering if this tank will work on my ion.?
The tank is a 88ci 4500 PMI. It is ''fixed'' whatever that means. If it will work, about how many shots can I expect from it on my stock ion? I forgot to mention that it's operating pressure is preset to 850psi
your ion has a regulator that lowers tank pressure to gun's operating pressure. so a high pressure fixed air system such as the PMI will work well. no guess on number of shots though

My PMI Piranha is shooting in-accuratley, need help!?
My PMI Pirahna is shooting the paintball in a spiral pattern out of the barrel. I dont know what is wrong, I tried turning the velocity down! It only happens when I fill my tanks, the barrel has spiral porting but idk if that is doing it. The barrel is a Progressive 13", almost brand new. I dont know where to go with it, I really need help with this. Thank you for your time!
By spiral pattern do you mean it doesn't shoot fairly straight or that the balls spin off in an odd direction? That isn't normal - paintballs should fly pretty straight and true, and the porting is there to help stabilize the ball, so that's not the problem.
First off, take the barrel off and look down it- do you see any residue or rough spots- anything that doesn't look mirror smooth? Either way, give it a good cleaning with hot soapy water, make sure all the ports are clean (use a toothbrush and/or toothpick) and rinse it very well and dry it out with a squeegee or soft cloth. Make sure you bolt is not loose or cracked and any O-rings are in good shape- no cracks, worn/flat spots. If the O-rings look bad, replace them, and make sure your internals (bolt, power tube, etc.) are all clean and lightly lubed.
Reassemble your marker and make sure the velocity screw is not stripped out/still works. Put your goggles on. Screw on your tank, and before you load any paint, fire the gun empty about 5 or so times. Now load some paint (goggles on, remember) and try to fire it again and see how it works.
If you are still having problems, you should contact PMI and they will either take the gun back for a warranty repair or tell you where you can take it to have it fixed.
Sometimes Co2 can mess up the internals of a marker- either by freezing the plastic parts and O-rings, or by introducing dirt particles- Co2 is not the cleanest of gases, which is why many people are switching to HPA/Nitro.
really the ci is not the determining factor in shape but look at pictures should tell you, a peanut tank ( Ninja 50ci/4500 ) is the shortest, while a 45ci/ 4500 ( crossfire, and limited edition ninja) is longer while having a smaller profile.
with a 12 GRAM cartridge id be surprised if the ball even made it passed your shoes. as for the twenty pound tank im not sure i know that they arent that expensive though
