Rail Mount Tippmann i'm looking for a sight for my tippmann 98?
I have a tipman 98. It is a older version and does not have a sight rail. I am wondering if there are any sights/scopes i can put on it. If so what are they and how do i mount it to my marker.
Your marker has a dove tail rail. But I wouldn't waste time with a scope or sight. Paintballs are only accurate a short distance, not enough for a scope. Plus they get in the way, especially playing woodsball, it gets hung up and loses its alignment.
Edit: Thanks D. Just hope you dont get shot in the scope it can also throw the alignment off and if you get paint on the lens fugghetaboutit. Imagine paint on your mask x10. Renders it useless

Can you mount a scope on the BT paintball designs m16 carry handle/raised sight?
Hi, I have a BT paintball carry handle/sight rail on my tippmann 98 custom, and I was just wondering whether it's possible to mount a scope (probably just a 1x magnification) on top of it? I'm not asking whether I should, just whether or not it can be done or if I have to remove it to do something like that. If so, is there a specific kind of scope base that fits onto it, and what is it? Thanks. By the way, here's a picture of the carry handle just to help avoid confusion

from my personal experience you can indeed mount a scope, however; unless there is some other type of propellant out there other than CO2, the problem you run into is that once you sight in the scope it will be accurate for the first few shots, but as the CO2 gets used out of the cartridge, there is less and less force pushing the paintball out of the gun, you would eventually see your paintballs going off target even if you have it in the crosshairs. the only way i have seen a scope stay remotely accurate, is if you have gun you have to pump up. you pump it the same number of times each time you shoot, it should remain fairly constant.
