Speedball Paintball what is a good paintball gun for speedball under 500 dollars?
i was looking at a ion but i don't know. i play speedball and want to shoot fast.
Ion is a good gun. But for 500.00? get on e-bay and buy an Angel Speed with nitro, Halo hopper, and Mask!! Angel's are bad ass! New they are $1500 just for the gun!!! Trust me I've been playing tourney ball for 10 years. I've got the Angel Speed The Gat. You will love it!! Way better than the Ion. Enjoy

The TM7 paintball gun uses Mini Technology which is currently used by world class tournament paintball teams so you know your gun can keep up in the speedball arena. BT also customized it to their liking to fit into the woodsball style of play as we'll as adding there unique adjustable stock sight rail and adjustable front grip. This thing is a tactical paintballers dream. It brings you the sleek look of some of BT's other tactical paintball guns but with unheard of woodsball fire power. In woodsball you basicly play the hunt. You want a gun that can shoot far and has great accuracy. You want to blend into your suroundings and use stragities. There is alot more planing, hideing, stalking, snipeing, bunkering, and other techniques used in woodsball. So what you need is a gun to fit the realistic gorrila tactics. Tippmanns are known as the best guns for woodsball. Thats because they hardly, if ever break, have unlimited mods and the best sniper capibilites posible in paintball. (its hard to get a real paintball sniper because you just cant shoot paint that far) A tippmann is rugged and durable, consistant and reliable, fast and powerfull thats what you need. Tippmanns can be used for speedball if you get the right mods. they are capible of shoting as fast or faster than alot of speedball guns.
Speedball is a fast pace game with man made fields. No camo needed in this! this game takes a gun that you can run like hell with and not get lugged down. you have to also be able to shoot extreely fast. You basicly paint the field. so here you dont need those military qualties like woodsball. what you need is a gun that is very easy to carry and is capapable of spraying the paint. long distance isnt as nessasry here either.
Essential Equipment. Good quality mask like a vforce provantage or jt proflex. Pants, either use any pants that you have that you dont care much about or buy a good quality pair of paintball pants. Jersey, army shirt, or a shirt you don’t care much about. Pod packs are great for carrying extra paint so you don’t have to get out of a game because you ran out. Gloves are great to protect your hands from when you get shot in the hands it can really hurt and your hands are everything you want to protect them.
Preparing: Get all your gear together and check it out make sure your lenses are not cracked, make sure you marker is nice and clean and your barrels are clean, oil and lube your marker bolt and valve, make sure everything is tuned right and your marker shoots smooth. The better you take care of your gear after a day of play the less you have to worry about before you go out to play. Keep everything clean and lubed. The cleaner your barrels and marker is the better your shots will be and your marker will work.
Safety: Wear a mask at all times! When you’re on a field never take your mask off. Be aware the more you are aware of what’s around you the safe you are. Don’t relay on the people around you relay on yourself to be safe. You can wear a full head mask that covers the front side and back of your head if you want to, JT makes a great full head mask. You can also get a chest protector if you want to reduce the feel of the shots but that is preference. You can get knee pads and elbow pads and I recommend them if you play speed or air ball and recommend just mainly knee pads if you play woods or hyper ball.
Equipment after game: Clean you stuff!!! Never put your marker or gear away dirty or you will have a lot of fun cleaning it next time you go to play. I would always recommend taking your marker apart and cleaning everything after you play for that week. The cleaner your marker is and maintained the better your marker will work and longer it will last. Cleaner your mask lenses are the less chance that they will fog when you play. Fogged mask isn’t good when you’re playing, fog doc is a great product to use on your lenses. Wash all your gear together but if you have a vest, pack, barrel swabs, or anything like that make sure you hang dry it or you will ruin your gear if you put it in the dryer.
Speedball, woodsball, hyperball: Nice level open field normally with turf or grass with a built field. Here is a vid that explains the different fields.
Rules: Rules are set by the field, games are timed. Once you call yourself out even if you have no paint on you, you are now out. If you step off the field you are out. But for most of it the rules are set by the field. Also look up paintball tournaments or paintball league website and you can see the different rules that you could have for leagues and tournaments.
General tips: Keep moving, don’t camp if you camp it makes it easier for the other team and you don’t learn much from it. Keep your mask on try and keep your head on a swivel and look around the field. Keep your marker up ready to shoot. Use a count if you want like if you are moving forward count 1…2…3..4…cover. Get you in a rhythm and when you get to cover get to the first closest cover you have. Better your keep your barrels clean the better your shots and the better you match your barrel bore the more consistent your shots. Better paint and better barrel to paint match the better your shots.
Glossary: Paint- paint balls Doritos- in air ball or speed ball you have lil triangle shaped bunkers normally called Doritos because of how they look. Can- same thing as dorito there is a bunker that look like a big can. Snake- on an air ball or speedball field you may have a long bunker on one or both of the sides that looks like it is curvy and that is called the snake. Normally used in tournament fields.
There is a lot more I would recommend going to techpb.com and youtube.com and watching the vids posted on there. Tech Pb has some great vids and a lot of info. Also the league and tournament sites will have a lot of rule info and gear info.
