Spyder Gun How to turn on my Spyder Victor paintball gun?
im new at paintballing, and i bought a 2007 Spyder Victor but i dont know how to turn on the gun or use it because i have to cock the gun back every time i shoot.
A spyder victor cannot be turned on. It is a mechanical marker and has no electronics inside that could be turned on. As for how to use it, this may take a while. If you still don't understand afterwards, feel free to e-mail me at nowyouseeme@rocketmail.com . 1) Make sure you are pointing the gun in a safe direction. Never point it at someone outside of a game and never look down the barrel unless you are wearing your facemask. (A facemask looks similar to this http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=paintball+mask&gbv=2 ) 2) Be careful to not pull the trigger. In the photos, it looks like there is no safety (a safety would stop the gun from going off by making it so you can't pull the trigger all the way). When you don't have a safety, the trigger can always be pulled, and the gun may go off accidentally. 3) Find the feedtube. It is the little vertical tube sticking up from the top of the gun. 4) Attach the plastic feedneck. When you bought the gun, it should have come with a little plastic tube that has clamps on both ends (A plastic feedneck for a Spyder would look like this http://www.generaljoes.com/Search/images/feedneck.jpg ). One side clamps onto the feedtube on the gun, and the other clamps to the neck of the loader (or hopper. The words mean the same thing.) A loader looks like this http://www.usmilitarygear.com/prodimages/HPRVL2.jpg . the paintballs (yellow in the picture) go inside the loader and the lid (grey in the picture) is closed, trapping the balls inside. The balls exit through the tube coming out the bottom of the loader, go through the feedneck and feedtube and into the gun to be shot. Clamp the loader into the other side of the neck. Don't put any paintballs in the loader or gun yet. 5) Find the ASA (Air Source Adapter). It is at the bottom of the gripframe (where your hand goes if you were going to pull the trigger). There should also be a steel hose coming out of the front of the ASA that runs up into the gun. Don't ever try to unscrew that hose. It should only be handled by a trained professional. 6) Find your CO2 tank. A co2 tank looks like this http://images.cabelas.com/is/image/cabelas/s7_213287_imageset_01?$main-Large$ . It may be larger or smaller than in the picture and usually has white writing on it and lots of warning messages. You may have to take it to a field in your area or a sporting goods store to get it filled with co2. Tanks are usually shipped and sold while empty. 7) Have a parent help you screw the tank into the ASA. The brass piece on the tank has threads (the spiral ridges) that fit into the threads in the ASA. You hold the gun in place and keep it steady while mom or dad screws the tank in clockwise until you hear a hiss. That hiss is co2 leaving the tank and going into your gun. When you hear that hiss, you know your gun is ready to shoot. Put on your facemask and go to a safe area for shooting. Dry-fire (shoot the gun without paint in it) a few times to make sure everything works. Once everything works OK, open the lid of the loader, pour some paintballs in, close the lid, give it a few small shakes to get the paint down in the gun, and have fun shooting. Again, never point the gun at anyone unless you are playing a game, always wear your facemask, and don't look down the barrel. 9) Have fun!
Most of this stuff makes more sense if you go to your local field and have a staff member show you how everything works. You may not own all of this stuff yet. Your local field should have all of this, which you can rent from them. You don't need to run out and buy everything right away.
When you're done, take it apart by getting all the paint out of your gun, either by shooting it all out or by opening the lid and turning the gun upside-down over a bag (to catch the paint that falls out). Then take off the loader and plastic feedneck. Once you've done that, get mom or dad to help you again with unscrewing the co2 tank. Turn the tank counter-clockwise. There will be loud hissing and you may see gas spraying out. It can be very scary, but don't stop or try to screw it back in. Just keep going, and the gas will stop spraying out soon. Once the tank is off, keep your mask on and shoot it until it decocks (the pin on the top goes forward and stays forward).
This gun is semi-automatic. That means that it automatically recocks itself each time you shoot it. You don't need to cock it for every ball. I think the reason you had to cock it each time was because you didn't have a co2 tank attached. You weren't really shooting the gun, because it uses the pressure in the tank to shoot the balls and recock itself. If there's no tank, there's no pressure to shoot the balls with.

I need to replace my metal disk in my spyder xtra paintball gun. How do I find one?
I lost the metal disk that goes behind the striker in my spyder xtra, but I don't know where I can buy a new one. Please give me some sites in which I can buy this part from. THANK YOU!
